On behalf of the Ministry of Health personnel, and indeed on my own behalf, it is my pleasure to
welcome you to the Ministry of Health (MoH), Zambia – website.

The Ministry aims to address and share ideas with the public on
various topics in the health field and related services under the
vision of ‘...provide the people of Zambia with equity of access to cost effective, quality healthcare as close the family as possible...’.

The public health sector has taken significant steps towards meeting the objectives of the health reforms, particularly in improving access to health care, affordability of health services and health systems strengthening. The country is also under significant pressure to reduce the disease burden, improve the health status of Zambians as well as accelerate the attainment of the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs).
