Fellow citizens.
Today, we commissioned the Chitanda Lumamba Hospital in Chiyuni, Chibombo District in Central province, which was constructed by the Fountain of Hope Africa in conjunction with the Seventh Day Adventist Church and the local leadership.
During the ceremony, we stated that in our quest to foster development, we will engage with all citizens from both the private and public sectors, in line with our vision of working in a complimentary way to achieve the best outcomes for our people.
We called on traditional leaders in our country to work together and foster national unity for development.
This facility is an initiative of citizens of this area and cooperating partners, so our clarion call on each one of us and especially those with means to provide, to be doing so in areas of one’s origin.
It is a known fact that development begins trickling down in an area when the locals are willing and even lead by example.
The UPND government remains committed to ensuring quality health care service delivery, and this is why we have continued employing more health workers so that we can bridge the gap between health service providers and patients.
Once more, thank you to the cooperating partners and the local leadership for this infrastructure.
May God bless our country.
