Ladies and gentlemen,
This recruitment is testimony of president hakainde hichilema’s commitment to not only creating sustainable employment but also enhancing citizen’s participation in the process of recruitment.
In ensuring that the decentralisation agenda is actualised, as stated earlier, this recruitment was spearheaded by the districts, supervised by the provinces through the established human resource management committees (hrmcs).
This recruitment is your recruitment because the successful candidates were identified and selected by the districts themselves. I therefore wish to urge the communities to help these newly recruited young people to settle in their new roles so that the intended service delivery can be provided without interruption.
Further, i urge successful candidates to seize the opportunity to serve the public with a great sense of responsibility and professionalism in order to drive our country’s service delivery to higher heights.
To the unsuccessful candidates, i wish to urge you not to lose hope as government has shown commitment to ensuring that considerably substantive numbers are employed annually.
Today may not be your turn but tomorrow might be yours, so hang on in there. As already announced, in the year 2025, government will recruit yet more health workers in various categories, whose numbers are yet to be determined.
I wish to thank all those who participated in this recruitment process for their diligence, sacrifice and commitment to ensure that this process reaches where we are today.
I also wish to reiterate that, as promised, all the professional cholera volunteers, totalling 646 formed part of this recruitment and their names will be published on the dates that have been mentioned.
I wish to repeat that the names of the professional cholera volunteers and the successful applicants will be published on monday, 27th january 2025 while the appointment letters should be collected starting wednesday 29th january 2025.
In closing, i wish to congratulate the successful candidates and encourage them to serve their communities diligently.
I THANK YOU FOR YOUR KIND ATTENTION AND GOD BLESS YOU ALL!
